Diatribes against imagination. Novel, History and Modernization in Colombia´s Nineteenth Century

This article describes some aspects related to the role of the novel in the construction of Colombian nationality. In other words, it analyzes the progress and setbacks in a society that sought, throught the cultural policies of a traditionalist regime, to turn its back to the transformations of a country which was incorporated in a dependent modernity.Downloads
