In this article, we intertwine the instances of theoretical-methodological exposition — inscribed in the disciplinary crossings of discursive, semiotic and glotopolitical studies — with documentary materials of a major corpus. In the first instance, a network of notions to place ourselves in the place of this study — Misiones in the South American region; below are some relevant aspects of the work device that allowed to analyze and discursively interpret semiotic ties between memory and present between languages. The testimonial counterpoints not only expose the operations of meaning but underline trends and glotopolitical correlates marked in the experience of living between languages in South American border neighborhoods (Misiones, Argentina).
