Juego de viejas

El juego se reitera en la obra de José Donoso. Se puede rastrear una estética del autor a partir de las formas y horizontes que despliega la actitud lúdica en toda su producción. En El obsceno pájaro de la noche, los paquetes de las viejas, que no tienen ningún propósito, actúan como desdoblamiento del acto creativo que se gesta en esta novela/paquete/juego. Lo lúdico funciona tanto en el nivel básico de representación temática como a través de sus posibilidades en tanto dispositivo ficcional. Finalmente, a través del simulacro y la competencia, la novela resalta tanto el vínculo entre el espacio y el juego como la capacidad del espacio lúdico para enlazar tiempo histórico y mítico.
