Abstract

The first part of this paper proposes an approach on the impact of the Argentine dictatorship considering the Latin American context. In the same section, we refer to the importance of Massacre Theater as a manifestation of the historical trauma and take the figure of Eduardo Pavlosky as a precursor of a theatre which confronts the audience with the crimes against humanity. The second part of the study examines the work Si un día me olvidaras (Raúl Hernández Garrido) by analyzing three frequent figures in other representations of the recent Argentine past: the death flights, the clandestine detention centers, and the appropriation of children.
