Starting from Néstor Perlongher's interpretation of the exponents of May '68 French philosophy, we will try to account for how his theoretical thought proposes post-identitarian postulates of sexuality, the travesti or "loca" ("fairy") being the specific subject to express this position. Under this viewpoint, we will be able to show how Perlongher's analysis can be considered a Latin American "queer proto-theory". In this way, Perlongher's thought is inserted in the postulates of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, who propose the becoming as the necessary alternative to any identity totalitarianism that sexualities and regimes of signs produce. Our aim is to recover Perlongher's thought as a forgotten pivot of Latin American queer theories, that allows us to understand the way in which sexual identities are a totalitarian risk, as well as alternatives to escape this situation.
