In this article I attempt to bring up some considerations on the transformations which the Kaiowa and the Guarani have undergone, in Mato Grosso do Sul, by focusing on relations of gender and generation. In this way, presenting some considerations regarding the way in which sexualities are experienced by Kaiowa youth – homosexuality, in this case – may contribute to reflections on how they frame questions about ways of life, moralities and the differences operated among generational points of view. Thus, by seeking to bring these debates into indigenous ethnology, it is expected that these aspects of social life might contribute to a description of the meanings of innovation in amerindian sociality.Downloads
