Abstract

This section brings different voices from writers who narrate their experience as readers of John Banville’s work to pay tribute to his 50 years of an inspiring writing.

  • Annemarie Ní Churreáin

    Annemarie Ní Churreáin is a poet from the Donegal Gaeltacht, Ireland. Her debut collection Bloodroot (Doire Press, 2017) was shortlisted for the Shine Strong Award for best first collection in Ireland and for the 2018 Julie Suk Award in the U.S.A. She is the author of a suite of poems about Dublin titled Town (The Salvage Press, 2018). Ní Churreáin is a recipient of a Next Generation Artist Award from the President of Ireland. In 2019 she received the inaugural Markievicz Award from the Arts Council of Ireland. In 2020 Ní Churreáin was awarded a Literature Bursary from Centre Culturel Irlandais Paris. She was a 2019-20 Writer-In-Residence at University of Ireland Maynooth.
