Weave another Basket of Knowledge? A remote collaborative research on the covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

From the experience of the Project Indigenous Peoples responding to COVID-19 in Brazil: social arrangements in a Global Health emergency (PARI-c), in Upper Negro River (Amazonas state), this study aimed to reflect on the possibilities and implications of the collaborative production of knowledge com Indigenous female researchers, considering the sanitary emergency, territorial immobilities, social inequalities, epistemological differences, and ontological policies. From the notion of Baskets of knowledge, we thought of the forms and possibilities of this collaboration in light of contemporary debates on global public health “decolonization” processes and health knowledge. The empirical basis for this study consists of describing its knowledge production methodological experience, focused on two perspectives: the field and writing. This material enabled us to outline some considerations on the relevance and meaning of the ways of producing “hybrid knowledge” to deal with global crises or syndemics. These forms, as we shall see, cross the realignment of alliances and find a special focus point on women’s writing.
