Abstract

A comparative study between the mice viability test and the guinea pig potency test for the efficiency evaluation of the Flury HEP vaccines revealed a strong positive association between the mice titer and the protection percent of the vaccinated guinea pigs. Although the mice viability test is not able to demonstrate the vaccine immune response, titers of 103,5 or higher constitute a good indication that the vaccine will be approved by the guinea pig potency test.
