Information system as an instrument of environmental quality management

Abstract

This work discusses the mechanisms of creation and management of public policies, above all on a local level, covering its thematic contents (social, environmental and economic policies), trying to understand its evolution and its results in terms of popular participation, of environmental, economic and global interests, presenting alternatives that may attend to the contemporary necessities in growing changes, in a society in cultural transiton. To interfere directly in this process, we tried to present the dificulties and limits of the current practice and present paths to build articulated proposals of integrated, systemic and sustainable development policies,
