Among the discussions on how to design cities in the 21st Century, the challenge to reincorporate the human dimension in synergy with environmental conservation is crucial when the aim is to improve the life quality in urban centers. In accordance with this approach, this study seeks to analyze the walkability in the section around the intersection of the Avenues Engenheiro Caetano Alvares and Imirim, in the northern region of São Paulo, considering the perception of the pedestrian, urban and environmental qualities, as the region present structural potential for the development of a green infrastructure system integrated to ecological green core of Cantareira Mountains.Downloads
