Abstract

The present article aim to discuss the relate Início do Feminismo no Brasil (1918), that is the first part of a work that Leolinda Daltro (1859-1935) intended to continue. We will situate here the individual memory with ramifications for the history understood as one of those cultural practices from records of a "self-production", which acquires specific meanings from the constitution of the modern individual. Draws attention to the historian peculiar ambiguity that characterizes her proposal, as it is the relate of her individual journey, while at the same time that intend to subsidize in a few pages the brazilian feminism history. Presumably that Leolinda, born at Bahia, but now identified with the everyday fluminense society, felt, thought and lived simultaneous experiences, that put in time and multiple spaces between the expiry of the Empire and the advent of the Republic, in the passage of XIX to the XX century.
