Description of a psychological intervention for women in the climacteric

The present report describes and analyses the group dynamic techniques used in a group psychological intervention carried out in order to inform, support and prepare psychologically middle-aged women with respect to the climacteric syndrome. The contribution of group work and group dynamics techniques to increase the motivation for, and interest in this type of attendance is discussed, facilitating the discussion and promoting group integration. Aspects related to the difficulty in forming groups are also pointed out. We believe that the treatment modality described in the present article can provide women with a more positive attitude in experiencing the climacteric.Downloads
