Perda auditiva sensorioneural unilateral e distúrbios da comunicação

Este estudo objetiva verificar a associação entre distúrbios da comunicação oral e perda auditiva sensorioneural unilateral. A partir de dados preliminares de estudo transversal com 20 sujeitos de ambos os sexos com idades entre 7 e 19 anos (média 10,8) com graus variados de perda auditiva sensorioneural unilateral atendidos em serviço de referência em avaliação de distúrbios da linguagem e da audição em São Paulo, Brasil. Todos os pacientes foram submetidos a anamnese, avaliação auditiva e entrevista estruturada para levantamento de informações sobre habilidades de linguagem, comunicação e audição. A média de idade do diagnóstico da perda auditiva foi de 6,3 anos. Cinco (25%) destes sujeitos tinham histórico de repetência escolar e perda auditiva da orelha esquerda. A comunicação oral foi a alteração comunicativa mais referida entre os pacientes estudados. As habilidades linguísticas, comunicativas e auditivas são afetadas de forma variada pela ocorrência da perda auditiva unilateral e comorbidades como deficit de atenção, irritabilidade e agitação parecem estar associados a esta na população estudada.Downloads

– Authorship
– Transparency and integrity (for example, conflicts of interest, research funding, reporting standards
– Peer review and the role of the editorial team beyond that of the journal editor
– Appeals and complaints
- Communicate journal policies (for example, to authors, readers, peer reviewers)
- Review journal policies periodically, particularly with respect to new recommendations from the COPE
- Code of Conduct for Editors and the COPE Best Practice Guidelines
- Maintain the integrity of the academic record
- Assist the parties (for example, institutions, grant funders, governing bodies) responsible for the investigation of suspected research and publication misconduct and, where possible, facilitate in the resolution of these cases
