Abstract

This article presents the results of a research aimed at investigating, analyzing and describing the structures responsible for the establishment of interpersonal relationships and their connections with persuasion in São Paulo newspapers from the 19th century to the early 21st century. Publications related to the theme of elections were used in order to establish a particular approach. The manifestation of ideologies and the quest for the establishment of certain consensus were observed in this context.
