Abstract

This article aims at introducing a piece of research on psychological reports about children and adolescents who presented school failure and were sent to Psychological service. The main results of the research are: the Psychoanalysis is the hegemonic approach of the psycho-diagnosis; the school problems are not regarded in the interviews; the main psychological instruments of assessment are psychological tests and the psychological procedures taken do not consider interventions in the educational field. These results lead us to conclude that it is necessary to rethink the psychological psycho-diagnostic approach when we are dealing with school failure.
