This article analyzes the spinozist mereology, that is, how parts
(the relation of parts to the whole as well as parts with each other) are
related according to Spinoza. In order to do this it will be crucial to
explore the concepts of part and whole, considering both the Ethics and
the letters of our philosopher — specially that letter in which we find
the famous example of the worm in blood. The hypothesis that I want
to defend is that, if we consider the degrees of individuation, part and
whole are not mere inadequate ideas of imagination.
