The Portuguese exile in Brazil in the 50s and 60s

Deployed in Portugal for 48 years, the dictatorial regime wasresponsible for a veritable Diaspora of their opponents. Across Europe, Americaand North Africa, exiles and expats politicians Portuguese have in Brazilianterritory, a base of support, responsible for coordinating much of the propaganda,the forms of direct action and international fundraising support for fight againstthe Portuguese dictatorship. The purpose of this article is to provide one panel oforganizations Portuguese in Brazilian territory, especially between 1950 and 1960,the ties that the various groups there installed maintain with other oppositiongroups, the involvement with the society and the reaction of Brazilian authoritiesagainst activities held by these political emigrants and exiles.Downloads
