NOTAS SÔBRE A PRESENÇA DE CISTOS DE ISOSPORA NO HOMEM, EM SÃO PAULO

Abstract

The bibliography on human isosporosis in Brazil was reviewed. The small occurence of the parasitosis was observed and 5 cases diagnosticated by the "Departamento de Parasitologia da Faculdade de Higiene e Saúde Pública da Universidade de São Paulo", were studied. From these cases, 4 were caused by the I. hominis and only one by the I. belli. The infections occured in 3 cases with children less than 5 years old and in 2 cases with adults over 18 years old.
