Abstract

The current plan of social security in Brazil is described as to its legal structure, administration, ways and means, population covered and benefits rendered the insured and their dependents. Next are taken up the programs of professional rehabilitation being developed in the country by both public and private initiative. Finally the different types of compensation legally due those who work in places or operations considered unhealthy are reviewed. Various comments and criticisms are made as to the statement and solution of these problems in Brazil.
